Get Glowing Skin at 50+

As a woman in my late 50s, I understand first-hand the challenges that come with ageing skin.

But just because we’re getting older doesn’t mean we can’t have youthful-looking skin!

That’s why I’ve put together my list of 4 unique tips and tricks for maintaining healthy, radiant skin after 50.

I hope these tips will inspire you to take care of your skin and enhance your natural beauty at any age. Let’s get started!

Combat hormonal changes

As we age, hormonal changes can lead to skin issues like dryness, sensitivity, and uneven texture.

When estrogen levels drop (responsible for keeping the skin youthful, firm and elastic), collagen production slows down, leading to the development of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

To combat these changes, I always make sure to incorporate ingredients like Rosa Damascena oil and Bakuchiol.

Bakuchiol has been clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture and boost collagen production – all without the harsh side effects often associated with retinol.

Rosa Damascena oil contains powerful antioxidants, it is also an amazing hydrator and skin soother.

You can find both of these ingredients in the Rose Youth Elixir.

Practice lymphatic massage

The lymphatic system is responsible for removing toxins from the body, and massaging the lymph nodes can help to boost circulation and promote healthy skin.

I like to incorporate lymphatic massage into my skincare routine by using a jade roller or gua sha tool to gently massage my face and neck in upward motion.

This helps me to reduce puffiness, improve skin tone, and promote a healthy, radiant complexion.

Focus on your gut health

You may think that your gut health and skin health are not as related, but research has shown that there is a strong connection between the two.

Our gut is home to trillions of bacteria that play a crucial role in regulating our immune system, digestion, and overall health.

When the balance of bacteria in our gut is disrupted, it can lead to inflammation throughout the body, including the skin.

To support your gut health, try incorporating more probiotic-rich foods like yogurt, kefir, and fermented vegetables into your diet.

You can also consider taking a probiotic supplement to help maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in your gut.

Use facial mist to keep your skin hydrated

This might be one of my favourite hacks for instantly glowing skin.

With age, our skin’s ability to retain moisture decreases, which can lead to dryness, dullness, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

To keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, consider using the 100% organic Rose water toner.

Simply spritz the mist onto your face whenever you need a quick burst of hydration.

You can also use it to set your makeup or refresh your skin after a long day.

I carry the Rose water toner in my bag wherever I go and a few quick spritzes are enough to give me the most beautiful glow.
